Just started playing Devil's Door, really fascinated by the story so far and the voice acting is a really nice addition that provides an extra layer of personality to the characters! ^o^
Wow! Thank you very much for playing!
I'm so glad that you had some laughs in while playing, and am so happy you liked the voice acting! They loved hearing it (:
Also, for clarification, the total playthrough rides around two hours - the multiple endings act as ... important garnishes rather than wide branches, so you're still on the common route technically (:
I look forward to more of your streams and really appreciate your work in promoting visual novels and indie games! Thank you again!
Found 4 endings to Devil's Door, the endings I did find are both gruesome & hilarious in their own ways. Looking through all the different choices presented to the player, there are too few that feel important to alter the ending that you get. The costume you wear I fill is one of the few important items along with forgiving Benji or not being another important one.
Overall a very nice short horror visual novel made for the Spooktober VN Jam. :D
Woah thank you so much for finishing the game and running through different endings! I really appreciate you and I truly hope your channel gets bigger and bigger! Please know your work matters and gives developers like me a lot of hope to keep making content!
Also, really love your voice!
Thank you again, FlareBlitzed!
Okay, the game was very nice. It has all the things you expect from a good visual novel and a horror game, such as narration and horror pacing (not just slap it to your viewers face) and usage of character and background movement to make the world more alive, it also use more than just those two as it also put some special scene on an event to make it more, interesting.
All I can say for now that its a very nice horror game.
So amazing! ๐๐๐
Thank you for taking the time to make a great video!
I love your commentary and great input!
I'll be rooting for your channel to grow! (And grow and GROW! :D)
Okay, part 2 is here. Spoiler alert.
I was expecting Ash to die, but apparently it's us who die, a nice twist but no issues since it fits the genre of this horror, a dark horror isn't it? I wonder how the main character will cope with losing his life now. Will he life on as a monster? Or considering the genre, will perish forever, consumed by fate? Well either way still interesting.
There's more usage of background to show movement in this part, such as the moving road background to shows that we are running or the zoomed in cat background to shows how our sight starting to blur in and out, but apparently the background art isn't huge enough that you can see the border! Well, no biggie.
Forgot about the first thing that I notice, should've write it first, oh well. There's no load button in the main screen, which can be helpful to player in order to make them not confused or feeling that it'll be quite tedious (even though it's just a click different by starting a new game then pressing the load button below in the dialog).
Also just my feelings or all the peoples are.... Well attractive?
Part 3.
It really plays with my heart. Dark indeed. Nice. Love it.
I was kinda expecting more quest ahead on gathering the candy, turns out it was too easy, way to easy. We easily getting revived, which is odd. Turns out I was right, there's always something wrong when you're making a deal with the devil....
And Ash noooooooooooo.
Ahhh you completed it! Thank you so much!
Agreed - the original plan was to really extend on the trick or treating phase - in fact, there were supposed to be a total of SIX candies to get!
I even had three sprites I didn't include in the game because of time crunch like crazy though. The scoping knife really did a number on that part.
But I'm so happy with the outcome of a month's of hard work and am so happy you did a stream of my game! TY dearly!
And :) hopefully some people make it to the good end...
Yep, it was good, I love it. Kinda fast paced at some point, as you say because of the crunch, but it's good. Take care of yourself tho.
You too!
I hope my next game will be better planned to avoid the crunch!
Thank you again!
Okay, so there's indeed a good ending. Thanks for telling me about it! I was kinda accepting that there's no good ending, turns out there is. By the way I didn't say it before, but congratulations on being a Mother!
I'm glad you made it! (:
Of course, thank you very much and all the best wishes in furthering your channel!
I'll be watching (:
